About Yudith T. Bahena

Yudith Bahena provides compassionate, culturally responsive counseling for individuals who feel overwhelmed by past trauma, grief, persistent anxiety, depression, or a loss of purpose and joy in everyday life. She is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward healing and personal growth.

Yudith earned her Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). She has experience working with adolescents, teenage mothers, individuals navigating grief, anxiety, and depression, as well as those seeking faith-based counseling or healing from religious trauma. She is especially passionate about supporting adolescents, older adults, individuals living with disabilities, and those adjusting to life-changing medical conditions or accidents as they rediscover purpose and resilience.

Her therapeutic approach is eclectic and individualized, integrating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Family Systems Therapy, Complicated Grief Therapy (CGT), and EMDR-informed interventions. Yudith believes that every client has a unique story, and she tailors each treatment plan to meet their specific needs, strengths, and goals.

Yudith chose the counseling profession because of her deep desire to serve others during life's most difficult moments. She believes meaningful healing begins with genuine connection and is passionate about helping clients discover their strengths, build resilience, and create lasting, positive changes.

Outside of the counseling office, Yudith enjoys spending time with her family and children, caring for her dogs, gardening, and volunteering as a youth leader in her community.

Whether you are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or challenges related to faith, Yudith is committed to walking alongside you with compassion, respect, and hope as you heal and discover your value and renewed purpose in life.
